The Generic Eagle Comic was a weekly comic strip that ran from 2010 to 2011 in the Florida Gulf Coast University EagleNews. The strips were journalistic in nature and aimed to criticize and observe thoughts on environmentalism, college life, Fort Myers, FL, and general local happenings. The Generic Eagle Comic lays claim to being the first weekly comic in FGCU’s history. I personally wrote comic submission guidelines along with the Editor-In-Chief. Edward Droney co-wrote and illustrated these comics. I wrote, inked and lettered them. (They used to be all online, but alas. Hosting can not last forever. Above is one pulled from the vault, though.)
